About the Designer

|

Founder, Designer, and Seamstress Tammy Hefner has spent years perfecting the art of creating costumes of the highest quality and most exquisite detail. Each custom dance costume is constructed to fit impeccably and flatter the dancer’s form. Her designs reflect the visions of the dancer and choreographer, as well as the energy of the dancer’s music.
Tammy grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania learning to sew from her mother, who always styled her two daughters in matching handmade outfits. Her mom created her own patterns, was a unique visionary, and taught Tammy to do the same.
Tammy now has two daughters of her own, Jordan and Grace, her inspirations for the name of the business. Her oldest daughter, Jordan (25), started dancing at the age of 7 and quickly they became immersed into the world of competition dance. When one of Jordan’s costume designers fell through for an important solo, Tammy took matters into her own hands. Other dancers became interested in Tammy’s costumes, and the rest is history.
After dancing for 11 years, Jordan has graduated from college and works in the fashion industry. She still finds time to help her mom design and rhinestone costumes during Tammy's busiest times. Tammy’s youngest daughter, Grace (19) is a college student, a model, surfer, and JGP's #1 model.
Tammy works out of her home studio in Orlando, Florida, creating over 100 custom costumes per year. She has been married to her husband Brian for 28 years. |
